Director of Administration
John Agliano has been an attorney since 1985, and during that time he has developed an extensive business law practice. John focuses his practice on business counseling, contract drafting and negotiations, and dispute resolution. He applied his skills as a business lawyer to become associate general counsel to The New York Yankees, a position he held from 1994 to 1996. John was with the Yankees during their 1996 world championship campaign, and led the Yankees’ front office in the construction of Legends Field, the Yankees’ spring training facility in Tampa.
During his time with the Yankees John developed insight and perspective on the management side of professional baseball, and applies these skills to provide exceptional representation to Team One’s clients. John has been on the other side, and understands the intricacies of professional sports, including player contracts, player relations, salary and bonus negotiation, and player marketing. Having worked for the most prestigious sports franchise in the history of professional sports, his experience gives our clients an invaluable resource in the development of their careers.
Mr. Agliano was born and raised in Tampa, and attended Jesuit High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his law degree from the University of Florida. He is an MLB Certified Player agent anda State of Florida Licensed Athlete Agent. John is proficient in Spanish and Italian.
Director of Agency Relations
Ken Turkel has been an attorney since 1990, and has developed a wide ranged practice which is focused on complex business litigation and general civil litigation. Mr. Turkel has also developed a successful practice in the area of sports and entertainment law, representing athletes, screenwriters, and film companies.
In his sports and entertainment practice Ken has had the privilege of managing athletes in their marketing and endorsement ventures, and has negotiated deals at various levels with ESPN, Under Armour, Nike, Puma, Adidas, Wilson and Louisville Slugger, among others. He has extensive experience in athlete marketing, and in drafting and reviewing marketing, sponsorship and endorsement contracts. Ken has worked with numerous athletes, ranging from Olympic sports to tennis and golf professionals, and has spoken at seminars on the topic of “Negotiating and Drafting the Athlete Endorsement Agreement”.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Turkel is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and is also on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association He also attended Jesuit High School, and received his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, and his law degree from Stetson University. In 2000, Ken received the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer award. He is an MLB Certified Player agent and a State of Florida Licensed Athlete Agent.
Managing Director, Baseball
Lizaldo is the Managing Director of Baseball for Team One. He spends time between the Team One offices located in Tampa and Dominican Republic. He has spent most of his life educating Latin American players on the game of baseball as well as performing scouting duties. Lizaldo also oversees T1 International Baseball Academy that focuses on the development of players 13 - 17 years old. His vast knowledge of the game and the preparation a player needs to participate in the MLB draft makes him a tremendous asset to Team One clients. Lizaldo is a State of Florida Licensed Athlete Agent.
